Bittersweet in Watercolour Finished!
Finally I've finished this one. For such a small and seemingly simple subject, it did seem to take a long time!
I was undecided about the background on this, so I compromised and did a light cerulean wash.

Now...I wonder what I'll do next???

I popped over from WetCanvas to see your WIP. This is really lovely!! I love how you've got some hard edges and some really soft edges. I think you made a great choice for the background. Well done!
ReplyDeletePatricia, worderfull!! i like it very much
ReplyDeleteThanks Joan! Glad you stopped by!
ReplyDeletethis is beautiful! I love the reds and oranges
ReplyDeleteMelanie, thanks! I love a nice juicy red too!
ReplyDeleteJust wonderful. It has a great feel. The simple compositions sometimes take the most effort because everything has to be right. I can hide more in a busy watercolor.... Great job.
ReplyDeleteThanks Carl, and you are right about simple compositions. I seemed to take forever with this one!
ReplyDeleteI really like it Patty, and could also live with it quite easily in the previous unfinished step.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nick! You know, I really debated about leaving it a little less finished, but when I finally got near the end, I just couldn't stop myself!! LOL
